Last Weekend Was So Much Fun!!

First of all, Uncle Glyn was in town! He took a detour through Clarksdale as he drove from Salina, KS to Atlanta, GA. Matthew adores him. After church Sunday we were chatting in the sanctuary, and Steve put Matthew down on the floor. Matthew promptly walked over to Uncle Glyn and put his arms up in the air signaling Uncle Glyn to pick him up. We all loved having him here.

Then Sunday night we totally lucked out on tickets to Willie Nelson. He played at Ground Zero. It was an unbelievable concert to say the least. We had a ball!

Matthew is ready to start working in the yard. We, however, are not quite ready. The plants and sod must be ordered and purchased, and we need to prepare the yard to accept the plants and sod. We hope to get started this week. I will keep you updated on our progress.

Maxine Was Here!

Steve's sister, Maxine, visited us! We loved having her here. We went strolling through the neighborhood a few times, ate well at Madidi, partied well at Ground Zero, and played with Matthew lots. Thanks for coming to visit us Max!

First Jeep Ride

Last Saturday Matthew went on his first Jeep ride. For all of you who are concerned about Matthew's welfare in the Jeep here are two facts that may set you at ease: we kept the windows up so he did not get chilly and the Jeep is not equipped with airbags so Matthew was safe sitting in the front seat. I WON A MAGELLAN ROADMATE 760!!!!! Thanks to TiVo I watch the Ellen DeGeneres show everyday and about a month ago I entered the Freak Your Freak prize giveaway. I WON!! Today FedEx delivered my new navigation system!! My freak has been freaked. For one week you may call me by my new alias "the Winner."

Whew!

A lot has happened since my last post. Here are some of the things we have been up to:
- Matthew started walking and is now trying to run
- We were in Atlanta briefly for Carol's 60th birthday party
- Matthew had his first busted lip
- Mary Margaret, Pete, Sam, Matthew, Champ (welsh corgi), and I drove from Atlanta to Clarksdale
- Matthew drinks whole milk from sippy cups
- Matthew turned one!
- I turned twenty-nine
- Caroline Shaul, Matthew's God-mother, visited us!
- We had Matthew's first birthday party (Thank you La La, Mimi, Meredith, Mary Margaret, Pete, Sam and Caroline for traveling to Clarksdale for the occasion)
- Matthew had his first cold
- Matthew's top front teeth are cutting through the gums
