We have been busy little bees the last few weeks. Here is a summary:
- We went to Atlanta for Easter. Matthew didn't quite grasp the idea of hunting eggs, and he didn't really care about putting found eggs in his bucket (My aunt, Claudia, gave him a darling Easter bucket with his name on the side of it. Too bad it didn't get much use!)
- The week following Easter, Matthew burned two fingers on the oven. The next morning he was fine and didn't have blisters, but it still scared us. At least now he knows the meaning of hot.
- The next weekend we were in Birmingham for my cousin Hayes Kearbey's wedding. We loved hanging out with the Johnson side of the family!
- Matthew got the stomach bug this past week and is just now feeling better.
- I abandoned my sweet husband and left him with our sick child. The camp I attended for seven summers was sold in 1995 to a camp for children with special needs. The camp was recently on
Extreme Makeover Home Edition. This past weekend I headed back to camp for a work weekend and
Camp Soaring Hawk reunion. I raked leaves in the rain and helped host their open house. I was able to meet Camp Barnabas campers and counselors, and it was evident they experience the same unconditional love I did when I was at camp. God is still working wonders at our special camp.
Now what you all came here for:

Matthew played with this stick all day Easter Sunday.

Matthew and Pete had so much fun playing in the hotel rooms in Birmingham.

Mary Margaret, Ruth King Lewis, and I at Inspiration Point

Graffiti was allowed at Camp, especially in the Tack Barn. One of my favorite horses at Camp was Steve. Pretty ironic, huh?
